Aracnotech Centurion Model Kit Box Art .

box cover art

The aracnotech Centurian HK tank was originally introduced in the making of “ Terminator 2: Judgment day” tm. movie book. Conceptually designed by Steve Berg, this terminator would have played a vital role in the “Future War” sequence adding to the destruction of the human rebellion along with the other two vehicles :Flying HK and HK Tank. The Berg design lends itself beautifully to 3D form , following the style and functionality of its counterparts. This 1/35 scale resin kit has been produced due to the success of the prototype (sculpted 7 years ago by John P. Funk) and can be built up as a “One of a Kind” addition to any collection. This model will only be available for a limited run. Please follow the instructions carefully to make the most of your new model kit. Enjoy!

Carefully remove excess resin and debris. Pre-sand model pieces and clean all model parts with a mild soap befor assembly. Painting is simple, the whole model is Chrome. The lights on top (step 3) can be painted red with blue ends. Turret assembly - steps 1- 3. Step 1:glue main wings to the turret, making sure they firmly line up with the top edge. Step 2: glue lower wings and base. Keep the bottom edge of the wings flush to the turret and to the upper wings. Sanding might be necessary to match the edges. Step 3-3a: gun mounts can be made to rotate, be sure to pre drill the mount and the test fit the cap into the wing, also, pre drill the mount where the gun fits. Repeat procedure for both sides. Leg assembly – step 4-4a. Test fit all leg pieces together ( 4 parts x 4 legs: 16 parts total) Use step 4-a template to glue the leg parts together. The legs can also be made to articulate, this is done by drilling out the parts (see step 4-a) and using a similar diameter wire or styrene to create the hinges. Lower body assembly – step 5. Fit the legs into the base. The base may need some minor drilling/sanding to allow the legs to comfortably fit. Gluing is optional. Align the legs in a “X” formation so that they are all at equal 45 degree angles from each other. Turret and lower body- The turret is designed to “swivel” on top of the lower body (see step 6). Gluing is optional.
