| The Quest for the Dark Planet Main Hallway Corridor interiors!
| The Gal-West Transport hallway/corridors are broken down into three main Decks or divisions: Blue-Level for Command/Crew. The Command level is main access to the bridge and crew quarters etc. Green-Level for Cargo/Transport/Storage which spans the interior of the ship and has two main levels: Green 1 & 2 respectively. And Red-Level for Engineering/Maintenance and other Fabrication shops etc. The huge system of corridors allow for common access to the various locations of the ship and are routinely transition points for action and dialog. These common areas are designed to make access through the ship easy and safe. Robotic Droids are often seen roaming through the ship performing their daily diagnostics of the many automated systems. These droids stay clear of the crew as they make their way through the miles of hallways of these enormous deep space transports.

| Below are images of the 3D version of the Hallway interior (as seen from the point of view of the J-65 robot) and the miniature set still under construction. A total of 6 panels have been built: 4 full size and 2 half size and a corner lighted bulkhead plus the ceiling grid sections broken into 2 full sections, one half sect. and a corner section allowing multiple configurations of the hallways for filming. This is the most extensive miniature built for this show. Each main full panel also has a access panel that can be removed to show a LED lighted detail compartment for the Red/Engineering Level.

| The Hallway sections use a master LED lighting control board circuit that allows the LED's in the bulkheads (the thicker detail sections that extend on the end of each panel) to change color. All the LED/electronics run parallel via a DB-9 connector (on the end side of every bulkhead section), thus power/LED control to each panel & allowing the mutltiple set configurations. A total of 4 different circuits allow for the complete set lighting which includes: Bulkhead color changing LED's, White Floor and Ceiling Safety LED's, Red flashing Alert LED's and the overhead White LED's that use theatrical gel to color the corridor according to the Level/color code.
| The image below documents the construction phase of the bulkhead sections. Each panel section (5 total) were built using a one Bulkhead template to insure uniformity as each panel has to seamlessly connect in succession. As stated above, this is the most engineered "Modular" set for this film as space and money are all considerations in the production process. This one set has to be configured for at least 3 different Hallways with variatons within each one. "It is like a Erector Set in the way the I can shuffle around the parts, get so many differnt hallway configurations, and allow for dozens camera angles!" -JPF
