Mary Lou Turbine and the Quest for the Dark Planet Aliens!

Many Alien species have been discovered and most of them are intelligent by human standards. Their cultures and philosophies are still vague since most of the Aliens stay away from human contact. There are very few Alien bases that are accessable to humans and there is still much to learn about them. One Alien in particular, "DragonFly" is a mercenary. This species is a insect/humanoid and is one of the more articulate Aliens versed in the many languages and cultures of the Xyrene sector. DragonFly is also one of the few Alien bounty hunters that exhibits a strong code honor and does not get personal about his contracts. He could be your enemy one day and your friend the next!

The Xyrene are as mysterious as their ships, Their Battlecruiser operates on a power system and fuel unknown to the humans. The Xyrene technology allows their ships to function in and out of "Phase" which may allow them to become invisible or "cloaked" to conventional scanning technology. A power grid that runs through the exterior hull generates this shield directly from the propulsion system's central power core. Remnants from a battlecruiser was discovered during the second war with very little intact to disect. Human scientists have been reverse engineering and testing the materials with the hopes of unlocking the Xyrene's secrets of energy and molecular phasing. Battlecruiser model in Alien Space!

Xyrene Battleship

DragonFly has a specially designed ship that literally looks like a dragonfly! His phylosophy is that he takes pride in his culture and identity, his ship is easily recognizable and intimidates his adversaries with it's menacing insect design. He wants his "prey" to prepare for their capture. He enjoys the thrill of the "hunt" and expects his contracts to give him a worthy chase. It as an insult to give up without a fight and he tends to have a higher repect for the Humans that are able to evade him.

Below is a preliminary concept sketch of the DragonFly space flyer. This design was conceived befor I was even aware of the RC dragon fly toy (which coincidentally looks almost identicle). I saw this toy at a dept. store and immediately wanted to buy it. They say great minds think alike, I wish I would have designed my toy first.
